I offer a limited number of monthly lessons. I teach in a specific way, uniquely different from anything else offered. I do one two hour class per month, one hour with 2D work (painting, drawing) and one hour with clay, though it's completely flexible according to the student. I assign several homework drawings/paintings each month, and the first 5-10 minutes of class we review those and work on constructive criticism (lots of praise, a couple of hints to use next time, pointing out things they did automatically and why those things work, etc). My classes are very tailored to individual students - we work with their strengths first, then move forward as they mature with addressing their weaknesses. I do not follow a program or a curriculum. We start with where the student is and where their interests lie and go on from there.

I am presently offering a small monthly group class. These classes provide a chance for students to interact in the positive critique sessions and during class, as well as opportunities for students to see examples of different mediums, since students do not have to use the same mediums - they will have several choices available at all times. Group classes stretch the student's art exposure, as they will be able to observe many different styles and techniques in one class. Come experience a fun atmosphere, full of creativity and imagination!
Students will  receive one-on-one time with the instructor during class, along with personalized homework assignments for students . Classes are limited to a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 students.  Age 9-100.

2D/Clay class includes two hours of personal instruction from a professional artist, instruction in at least 2 mediums per class, (clay, pencil, charcoal, pastel, watercolor, acrylic, etc), all supplies used in class (homework supplies not provided), 3-6 homework assignments, critique of homework, and an individualized program tailored to the student's needs.

Clay only includes two hours of personal instruction from a professional artist, instruction in various handbuilding and glazing techniques, and an individualized program tailored to the student's needs, clay, glazes, 2 kiln runs per piece.
